Madison + Brett

A beautiful destination beach wedding in Hilton Head, South Carolina

My relationship with Madison & Brett started exactly one year ago. I had just officially launched Grace Keller Photos and was looking for a couple to model for me. The funny things is, when they arrived for their session I noticed a GORGEOUS diamond on her finger -to my surprise Brett had just proposed two weeks prior!

Fast forward months later I received an email from Madison asking if I would be willing to travel to South Carolina to capture their destination beach wedding! I had ZERO hesitation -I knew immediately that I wanted to work with Madison & Brett because they really are the sweetest humans and it would be such a privilege to photograph their wedding -if it was here in Iowa or half way across the country -I just wanted to work with THEM. So that was an easy yes!

It was the perfect day for a beach wedding. The skies were clear, no chance of rain and it was a crisp 74 degree day. You couldn’t have asked for a more perfect day to get married!

The moment I walked the boardwalk and saw their set up perfectly placed between the sand dunes my jaw dropped. It was gorgeous. From the flower arrangements, the colors she chose, the beautiful wooden arch, it was all breathtaking. Their wedding was simple, elegant & warm. It captured exactly who they are as a couple perfectly.

Madison & Brett decided to do a private first look before the ceremony where they would also read their personal vows to one another. After a busy morning of getting ready, this was the perfect moment to just slow down and have a sweet and tender moment shared between the two of them. I just loved everything about this!

I think my favorite part of this wedding was how close they are to the family and friends who attended. I have never seen such a close-knit friend group (who was willing to do ANYTHING for Madison & Brett -more on that in a minute). Every single person deeply loved and cared for them and it was prevalent the entire day. You can just see the LOVE specifically in the images of Madison’s mom and dad seeing her for the first time. Grab your tissues now!

After their ceremony was over and they ate for a while, I grabbed Madison, Brett & their bridal party and we snuck away for some golden hour beach images. I can’t wait to show you just how FUN their friends are. They made me smile so much!

After their friends made their way back to the reception we stayed behind for intimate portraits of the two of them. The entire time we spent on the beach I kept thinking how they looked like a couple straight out of a Nicholas Sparks novel…they gave me goosebumps!

They ate, celebrated & danced their hearts out the entire evening. I have NOT laughed that hard during a reception…EVER! They were so full of life & just had the best time. Remember how I said their friends were willing to do anything for them? Well, we ended the night by getting some epic images of Madison, Brett & their entire bridal party jumping in the POOL (myself included!). I am so thankful for her sweet mom driving to get me a towel for my 2 hour drive back to Columbia! It was the perfect ending to a perfect day.

I hope you enjoyed these images from Madison & Brett’s big day. These are images that will go down as my most cherished images EVER!

Madison & Brett -THANK YOU so much for trusting me with your big day. I feel so blessed to have been a part of your lives for the past year. I truly feel like I have gained a friendship with you & I will cherish that for years to come.
