The wedding of Connor & Brianna Reeves…

I had the privilege of getting to know Bri through my part time job at Chick-fil-A. Over the last year I have heard her story and gotten to know her more on a personal level, so it was so special when she asked me to be her wedding photographer! Even though their engagement was short, we wasted no time booking them an engagement session–which is where I was able to get to know Connor! I knew from the moment I saw them together that they had something special. The way he looked at her the entire evening was so gentle & loving…I couldn’t WAIT to see them get married!

The day of their wedding approached quickly and I drove 30 minutes outside of Des Moines to a quaint town of Huxley, IA. It was so charming and reminded me of something you would see in a movie or show–I was obsessed.

Here are some of the smaller details from the day–

They decided to get ready at Connor’s mom’s house surrounded by their close family & bridal party. It was so touching to see how much love & support they have from those closest to them…

Speaking of those that love them…their bridal party was AMAZING! They were so much fun & down to earth that it made my job so easy! Here are some of my favorite images of them from their wedding!

A super touching moment before the ceremony was when Bri’s bridesmaids decided to say a prayer over her before their marriage. It was truly a beautiful & heartwarming moment.

First Look

Now it was time for the ceremony! Right before Connor made his way to the front of the aisle I caught this EXTREMELY precious moment between he and his mom…this moment truly made ME tear up and I hope they love having this core memory as an image to reflect on for years.

Now to my favorite part of the day…the groom’s first look of his bride! As the majority of the eyes are on the bride walking down the aisle, I also love to capture the groom as he sees his bride. Brings tears to my eyes every single time!

Their ceremony had a beautiful message from their pastor, followed by a sand pouring ceremony. The park was full of family members, friends & coworkers who were there to show them love and support! Here are some snaps from their gorgeous ceremony–

Immediately following the ceremony & family formals we snuck away so that Bri & Connor could have some time alone and we could capture some sweet photos of just the two of them. After the busy moments leading up to the ceremony, I thought it was important for them to have some alone time before the party began! We went to a park right next to their reception location and the trees were BREATHTAKING. I have never seen such beautiful fall leaves. It was perfect for them…

Thank you so much for choosing me to capture one of the most important days of your life. I feel so honored. I pray that you both have a beautiful marriage and you always put the Lord first in everything you do. Congratulations!!!!
