I had the privilege of assisting Alison Wilson Photos in photographing Reina & Kory’s wedding this past weekend and it was such a breathtaking wedding! From the presidential suite the couples got ready in, to the church they exchanged vows in to the reception ball room —gorgeous!
The morning was very relaxed and calm as they had their hair & make up done, sipped on mimosas, ate pizza and had fun! -it was so nice to see family and friends enjoying time with each other before the ceremony. You could tell they were all very close and made Reina feel so special. You could also tell the bride and groom were so giddy to see each other and become husband and wife-it was so sweet to see their nerves & excitement for what was to come.
When I tell you Reina was such a BREATHTAKING bride I am not exaggerating…she took my breath away…I could only image how Kory felt when he first saw her! Take a look—
They decided to get married at Westkirk Presbyterian Church. The building sat tucked in a quiet neighborhood in Urbandale and it was honestly the perfect location for this summer wedding.
The ceremony was very beautiful and intimate. A lot of family & close friends surrounded the couple as they said their vows and made their covenant before the Lord. It is always so special to see two families become one. The amount of support they have is so so special!
After the ceremony the couple was sent off in their limo to the reception located at The Sheraton in West Des Moines where they had their cake cutting, first dances & a DELICIOUS dinner. —We ended the evening by sneaking the bride and groom away for some intimate photos of just the two of them in a beautiful field behind the hotel! The sun hit perfectly over them and was the perfect way to end the night…
Reina & Kory, thank you so much for allowing me the honor of photographing your wedding and witnessing such a special day. I pray the Lords protection over your marriage and that you always put Him first. Enjoy your honeymoon!
